What was the highlight of OZO Hotels Arena Amsterdam

I had a pleasant stay but expected much better.

Easy access to the station and city centre by metro. Station Biljmer is also not too far if you wish to travel further than Amsterdam with access the trains. The breakfast was enjoyable in the morning with enough opinions available. The coffee from the machine was also good. It is mostly clean and pleasant at the hotel.

The rooms were modern mostly clean I would say there could be more attention to detail cleaning. For example my sisters room we noticed a previous visitor makeup or eyelashes attached to the bed side lamps. Which still hadn't been cleaned even after we checked out. Second to that on several occasions I had asked for extra pillow for myself and my husband staying in the executive room as the one provided was not of best quality and uncomfortable. I was blatantly ignored and no service was provided. On the 3rd time I went back to reception and advised to use the spare in the room which was not even available hence me asking for the additional. It felt as if I had asked for the sun and moon at this point... I was advised they would assist in 20 mins but again to no avail still didn't receive anything not even communication. Considering it's a 4 star stay and not a "cheap" stay. I'm disappointed by service and customer care. I think it also may go to a bigger issue of overall management of the hotel and resources if you lack to provide the basic facilities expected of a hotel. Your business is comfort and care of your guests. Overall was okay, however from my experience probably wouldn't visit again or recommend.

Great for families

Great staff. Quiet location. I like that there’s always an available parking space for us. The dinner was also great. The rooms we had were actually spacious and comfortable.

There’s no vanity kit available and some towels are damaged. The shower drain in one of our rooms was clogged. The phones from both of our rooms weren’t functioning. We had to go down to the lobby every time we needed something.

Room was great. Wasn’t aware it was a couples suite with 4 beds though so the semi-see through toilet was a bit awkward

There wasn’t anywhere nearby/within walking distance to buy food. Had to bring everything back with us from Centraal

Very Good

Public transport is close, max. a 10 minute walk. Lots of parking spaces if you're travelling by car. AFAS Live and Johan Cruijff Arena are within walking distance.

The Bathroom was only divided from the room with frosted glass and toilet was basically right next to the Bed. If you're traveling with someone you're not close with this can be uncomfortable as it's not exactly soundproof. Not sure if it's like that for every room.

Good for money, nice

It was clean, nice hotel, good location, close to the metro.

The fact that the toilet is all made of glass and there is no privacy, when you use toilet the other person in the room can see/hear everything.Also i didn’t like that i asked for an extra blanket and i was told at the reception that the ladies in charge with cleaning left so they have no access, which i consider it a bit not ok because for example if an accident happens to my blanket, and i need a replacement, what can i do? it should be a facility available 24/7. Maybe i am wrong but it’s just my oppinion. Beside that, staff was ok.

Decent clean and safe hotel. Usefully placed for hospital and business area. Need to work a bit on restaurant provision.

Friendly efficient check in. Decent comfortable room. WiFi worked well. Plenty to eat for breakfast

Restaurant closed early my first night as the chef was ill and there was no back up plan. Having to choose between going out for a meal or ordering something in was not appealing after a really long day. No idea what the restaurant would have been like on the second day as I didn’t dare take the risk. Although breakfast was plentiful, the hot buffet style food was fairly cold on the first day but good and hot on the second day.

Noises, you hear a lot of doors slamming during the night. Restaurant was closed but on the own website and on Booking our date was not listed as closed. We Booked here because of the fact that there would be an restaurant.

It was good, our first trip to Amsterdam for a wedding.

The maid was very good to us!

When I arrived no told me that we need to get a pass from the front desk to leave if you had car. We was just hitting the button, so they can let us in and out. Someone told us on our four day. Out of 4 machines only one worked, in the gym. I was looking for English channels and what I found was the news in English the rest all in Dutch. Some of the front desk agents can be a bit more friendly.

Apart from the staff, hotel is ok. Basic but not bad!

Saturday evening 18/01/2025 around 8pm blonde receptionist was very uninterested, unhelpful, treated us like we have never experienced before. So unbothered.. so unprofessional… a pitty !! We are humans, and clients to your hotel. Please work on your attitude young lady! Hope the owner reads this.

Not bad at all.

Overall, not a bad experience at all. Friendly staff, clean room and very comfortable.

Fitness centre - all the machines were broken or about to break. The breakfast was also overpriced. The hairdryer also needs to be more powerful.

The hotel is close by different venues where you can go to different concerts or events.

The hotel is not too clean, and not well mentained. For example: the parquet in the room was swalled and raised from the floor. Or the douche was leaking. The water from the douche was flooding the entire bathroom. In the brekfast area was the furniture not especially clean and all the drapes were wrinkeled up. The receptionistes were speaking polite but they had the expression on their face like they would be eating a lemon. I would say that it wouldn't feel like a 4 stars hotel.

Ok hotel, but wouldn't stay there again

The hotel was far outside the city, even though there was a sub station 7-10min away. They ask you to send an email if you are arriving after regular check in hours , which I did , and I also specified a room on the upper floor, but they never replied to my email, and while checking in , they gave us a ground floor room, and the heater was not working at all. We asked the reception several times , but the heater never worked the whole night, so it was freezing cold the whole night. I asked them to switch rooms the following day, so they did. As for the breakfast, it was really not good , not too many options, and the eggs were sitting out for a while that they became hard. The staff handling the breakfast buffet were just grumpy and rude all the time, a particular employee was just grumpy all the time, I'd say thank you whenever she cleans our table but she never replies. The breakfast is really not worth its price . I wouldn't call this a 4 star hotel if I am being completely honest , and I wouldn't stay there again .
